The Spanish nation gave a sigh, looking back at the empty conference room. Since no one had bothered to clean it, there were still traces of his long-gone friends laying about.
Adina's star and moon hairpin lay on the table at her spot. Antonio remembered her reassuring smile whenever the room was in pandemonium around her.
One of Aideen's discarded beer bottles lay on the floor next to her chair. The spirited nation -who appreciated well made spirits- was always a ball of energy.
Amelias jacket was draped over her chair. That's right, she left it behind when she went for a walk. Now it looks like she would never come back for it.
Antonio nearly tripped over an empty cardboard box, a few crumbs still inside. It was an empty box of Carmela's cannolis. How he missed his little sister.
A piece of wood? Oh, it was a piece of a barstool that Tenzu had broken in a brawl. He would miss the loud, boisterous woman.
An old, whithered rose lay next to a soft yellow feather. He had always thought that nothing could make the three of them drift apart. It looks like he was wrong.
Nearby was a book. Laramie's scrapbook. Full of so many memories. Memories of people he had missed so much.
A purple ribbon was wrapped around a white beret. He chuckled, carefully tying the ribbon into a bow before resting it on top of the hat. The two siblings he would miss quite a bit.
A pair of gloves tied together with an iron cross necklace. These were Ludwig's of course. The strict man was always interesting to be around.
Carefully, he picked up a robin's-egg blue tie. This was Olivia's... Mi corazon... He whispered, holding it to his chest. Carefully, he placed it on the back of her chair.
But there was one more item on the table. Maria's gun. Maria was a special woman. Always surrounded by madness, but still tried her best.
Adina, Aideen, Amelia, Carmella, Tenzu, Francis, Gilbert, Laramie, Lilli, Vash, Ludwig, Olivia, and Maria. Antonio would miss them all. But there was no turning back now. He slowly made his way to the door of the conference room, pausing before flipping the light switch.
"Adios, amigos." He whispered. And with that, the lights were shut on this part of his life.
